Hello and Happy February!
The New Year is now underway, and we are excited to celebrate the month that surrounds us with LOVE!
And we believe there is no better way to celebrate love than the art of self-care (which is not selfish) and we want to remind you that you matter!
At Lotus Counseling and Wellness Center we take an all-around approach to helping you avoid burnout whether it is something you struggle with in your career or your personal life combining Meditation, Massage, Yoga and Therapy for Holistic Well-being.
Lately, it has come to our attention that people do not engage in quite enough self-care and so the struggle with BURNOUT has become a paramount issue in social settings, so today we will help you navigate through the woes of Burnout with some simple and effective therapy strategies.
Meditation, Massage, Yoga and therapy complement each other beautifully, offering a holistic approach to burnout prevention is what we are all about. While meditation strengthens your ability to stay grounded in the moment, massage helps you reduce pain and stress in the body, yoga takes care of the physical and spiritual body and clinical therapy helps you tackle the root causes of stress and build sustainable coping mechanisms. Together, they empower you to navigate workplace challenges with clarity, resilience, and emotional balance.
These are just a few services we offer at Lotus Counseling and Wellness Center so please check out our website for all the programs we offer which can help get you started on eliminating burnout.
Some Practical Steps to Get You Started:
Schedule Regular Meditation: Start with a simple goal, like meditating for 5-10 minutes a day, and gradually increase the duration as you feel comfortable. Apps like Headspace or Calm offer guided meditations specifically designed for stress and burnout.
Seek Professional Help: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, consider reaching out to a licensed therapist. Many workplaces now offer Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) that provide free or discounted therapy sessions and off-site wellness programs are available to everyone so don’t tell yourself you can’t take time for you.
Set Boundaries: Communicate your limits at work to avoid overcommitting. Pairing this with mindfulness and therapy ensures you respect your personal time and energy.
Practice Self-Care: Beyond meditation, massage, yoga and therapy, ensure you’re prioritizing physical health with regular exercise, a balanced diet, and sufficient sleep. Do not skimp on these areas and putting yourself as a priority will allow you to sustain your well-being no matter how busy or challenged you may become.
If you have found yourself in a personal or professional state of burnout, please contact our wellness center to find a provider that can help you revive your energy and point you in a new direction for a new year self-care program! It is our honor to create a safe space for all and it is our commission to help people find peace and wellness in their everyday practices.
